How do you handle real-time vs scheduled sync?
Real-time sync uses webhooks — when an order is placed on Shopify, it immediately creates a sales order in Odoo. Scheduled sync runs on a cron job (every 15 minutes, hourly, etc.) and is better for bulk updates or systems without webhook support. We recommend real-time for critical data (orders, payments) and scheduled for less time-sensitive data (inventory updates, customer info).
What happens if the integration fails or an API is down?
We build retry logic and error handling into every integration. If an API call fails, the system retries automatically. If it continues to fail, we log the error and send an alert to your team. Failed records are queued for manual review so nothing gets lost. We also monitor integration health and provide monthly reports on sync success rates.
